Cam Coghill is one of our multi qualified and talented instructors here at Plas Menai. Outside of working at Plas Menai he is heavily involved in the Within the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) British Youth Sailing Team and TCA (Techno Class Association) as a Coach.
This year he was involved in taking the British Youth Team away, to the world championships in Limassol Cypress. “It was an amazing experience and an honour taking the sailors out to compete in such a prestigious event. There were so many young talented athletes taking part and our sailors thrived in this environment.
This was one of the biggest Windsurfing Techno teams we have taken to an international event for a very long time and it shows the sport is still growing and flourishing for juniors. With Techno being the predominant Junior class it’s amazing to see the young blood coming through.
It was also amazing to see some of our Plas Menai Dragons Team taking part at the event, Will and Jonny Greenhalgh, both stepping up to the next step in their windsurfing career.”
The next big event that Cam is supporting the British Team at the European Championships in April. This event is taking place in Lake Garda, Italy
