The RYA Powerboat Level 1 - Start Powerboating is a great way to spend a day afloat with upto 2 children, with no prior experience required.

This is a great course to get children interested in boating and start developing some basic skills from a younger age.

During the day we aim to cover the following;

Providing an introduction to powerboating, techniques for launching and recovery, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment.
 

It is a great taster course into Powerboating, it's also a perfect course for those children that go boating with their families to ensure they can take an active part of your outings afloat.

Key learning points:

 

This course is in effect a scaled down version of Level 2 focussing purely on the practical handling elements of Level 2. During the course almost all of the time is spent on the water practising manoeuvres but there is also time to look at the safety aspects of boating.

 

 

We require minimum one participating adult (18+) in each session, each session must also include at least 1 child between 8-16yrs


Our friendly instructors will be with you every step of the way, offering clear instruction, guidance and encouragement

For children 12 years and over they might prefer the 2 day RYA Powerboat Level 2 - Family session, or alternatively we have both youth Powerboat Level 1 and 2 courses.
