Fast, fun and easy to handle, go from beginner to confident rider in just one day.
You may know these machines as Jet Skis. They can be single-seater machines or can take two or three people. They are fast and exciting, but need to be handled with care. Our course is designed for first time and experienced riders alike. Increasingly our certificate is required for launching in UK harbours, but is also needed if you want to use your PW abroad. All new PWs are sold with a voucher towards the cost of this course and, once passed, you are issued with a certificate of proficiency. The course take place over one day and can be taken either on the centre's craft or your own.

Please be aware that the price is per place on the course regardless of use of own ski or not.

Course Content - Launching, handling and recovery skills, passage planning and decision making, high and low speed riding skills, essential safety information, collision avoidance and orientation at sea. Weather, safety & courtesy to others, PW handling, emergencies, rules of the road, essential navigation, recovery & aftercare.

Ability After the Course - Self-sufficient in good conditions  and aware of the limitations of yourself and your craft.

Format - The course is predominantly practical.

Do I need a licence to drive a Jet Ski in the UK?
Whilst at this stage some places in the UK do not require a Jet Ski licence / Powerboat licence, we would always recommend attending some form of RYA Training to build up skill and competence levels. Through 2021 we noticed an increase in lakes and coastal areas requiring some form of training to have been completed before allowing you to launch your jet ski.
Also more Insurance companies are looking for the owner of a new Jetski to have undertaken the RYA PWC proficiency course before offering a new policy. Even though this is the current status in the UK, Jet Ski Laws in foreign countries can be much stricter especially throughout the Mediterranean where a lot of places require either an ICC or RYA Proficiency Certificate.
