Give your racing skills a boost with our Sail Racing Boot camp. 2 days of intense training delivered by experienced coaches working on key skills for racing.

Skills will include:

Improving your boat control
Tacking/gybing technique
Upwind/downwind techniques + tactics
Start lines
Mark rounding
General race tactics + rules
Racing in Tide
Best practice techniques
Weather and tidal knowledge

The delivery will be a balance of core skills and race training exercises.

Minimum standard:

Need to be able to competently sail around a triangular course unaided and be able to come alongside a moored boat, and plenty of enthusiasm to want to get better at racing.

All students must be at the RYA Dinghy Sailing stage 3 level to participate.

The Plas Menai team consists a very experienced team all very excited to welcome you to a weekend of full sailing emersion at our ultimate venue on the Menai Strait where every day the conditions are so different.

Plas Menai will provide all necessary personal protective clothing including wetsuits, waterproofs, buoyancy aids and helmets.
