Learn the Basics & Improve Your Cruising & Yachting Skills
Whether you’re an experienced skipper looking to learn new techniques, or you’ve never stepped foot onboard a yacht, our range of Cruising courses are designed to enable everyone to gain valuable experience and improve their skills on the water.
Accommodation for the duration of your cruising course is on our yacht Menai IV, unless otherwise specified. The cost of this is included in the course fee.
Learn the basics of big boat sailing by taking part in our RYA Start Yachting course, which provides the perfect introduction to cruising. By the end of the weekend, you should be familiar with basic steering, sail handling, ropework, and be aware of safety while on board.
Our selection of courses cover everything from becoming an active crew member to a coastal skipper and yachtmaster, able to undertake more difficult passages by day and night, and handle a yacht in more challenging conditions.
All our qualifications and courses are RYA accredited, recognised and respected all over the world. Find out more about all our courses using the links below.
